NEW PAVING

Our new paving projects range from private driveways to complete parking lots. Grading is done first to assure that we have proper slope for drainage. Base material is then installed (usually a Class II aggregate). After the base is fine graded and compacted, a course of hotmix asphaltic concrete is placed and rolled. A seal coat is recommended every two to five years to protect your new asphalt investment.

ASPHALT REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

Sometimes you don't want a whole new paving job. There are some areas which are okay and a few that aren't. We can easily remove and replace only those that are causing a problem. We refer to this type of job as asphalt patching. When you call for your free estimate, we will be happy to describe the process.

ASPHALT OVERLAY

This process is used to increase depth of existing asphalt or to "shore up" slightly cracked or "alligatored" asphalt. New hotmix asphaltic concrete is applied to existing pavement or, if we determine that it is needed, a fiber material is placed on the existing pavement and then it is overlaid with a layer of hotmix asphaltic concrete. We also recommend that after your new paving job has cured, you should think about seal coating your asphalt to protect your investment.

COLD PLANING (GRINDING)

Cold planning (grinding) is generally done in an area where you do not want to completely remove the asphalt but only want to remove the top 2"-4". This process is normally used for repaving of sewer, water and utility line trenches but can also be used for small, rough areas or a general beautification of existing asphalt areas.

ASPHALT TRENCH PAVING

Whenever you install a new water line, sewer line or any other type of utility trench, you are going to need our expertise in asphalt trench paving. Each city/municipality is a little bit different and each one requires that the trench be repaved according to a different set of specifications. Some water districts require a T-shaped trench and others require a double-lift on their asphalt repaving. Whatever your needs are, we can do it!! We work for several cities and water districts all over San Diego County. References available upon request.

SEAL COATING & CRACK FILLING

Protect your investment with Satin Seal asphalt sealer. Seal coating your asphalt extends the life of your asphalt paving. Seal coating costs only pennies on the dollar compared to new asphalt paving or concrete installation. We recommend seal coating your investment every three years. We apply Satin Seal asphalt sealer using rubber-faced squeegees and in larger areas a small tractor specifically designed for seal coating. Using rubber-faced squeegees gives you a nice, thick coating of Satin Seal and a smooth finish. We only use Satin Seal because, quite frankly, we think it is the best product on the market. Would you want any less???

CONCRETE

If you want the job to last until your house falls down, we would suggest installing concrete (Portland cement). While the process is considerably more expensive, it will quite literally last a lifetime. Call us for a free estimate.

STRIPING

We can either match your existing layout or suggest a new configuration. We are familiar with all city specifications and federal requirements including A.D.A. laws and regulations.
